Tim Murphy is a dedicated and experienced criminal defence lawyer, and Founding Lawyer of Murphy’s Law. A proud native of New Brunswick, Tim has built a strong reputation as a tenacious advocate for his clients.

He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from St. Francis Xavier University in 2011 before pursuing his legal education abroad. In 2019, he graduated with an LL.B. from the University of Southampton and returned home to establish Murphy’s Law in Miramichi. Since then, he has successfully defended clients in hundreds of trials and appeared in court thousands of times, fighting to protect those he represents.

When he’s not in the office, you’ll likely find Tim by his fire pit, enjoying the outdoors with his German Shepherd, Walter.
