Mr. Sawyer received his Bachelor of Laws degree from the Université de Moncton. He has practiced in New Brunswick and Alberta from 2012 until 2023. Mr. Sawyer relocated back to New Brunswick in 2023. Before joining Murphy’s Law, his practice included being a Federal Crown Agent and Provincial Crown Prosecutor assigned to the Major Crimes Unit.
As a result, Mr. Sawyer has significant experience practising criminal law. He joined Droit Murphy Law in 2024.
Mr. Sawyer practices criminal law with a keen interest in the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, firearms offences, and other matters in the Criminal Code of Canada. With more than ten years of experience in criminal litigation, Mr. Sawyer has appeared as counsel and co-counsel on a wide range of matters, including the most serious of offences. His in-depth understanding of the legal system, paired with a strong dedication to fair representation and his experience, enables Mr. Sawyer to effectively manage a diverse array of cases.
